A Note From Melanie Franks:

The last few months have been a busy time for the ladies of Alabama. In October, the ladies of Sardis Free Will Baptist Church in Eufaula hosted the Southern Ladies Retreat. Almost 300 women came together for worship, discipleship, and fellowship. Make plans to join us this year as we celebrate the 20th year of the Southern Ladies Retreat. Cultivate in Athens will be our host church, and the dates are October 24 and 25. Watch the website and Facebook for more information.

At the end of October, I was able to travel to Mexico, along with the Praise Team from Cultivate Church, to assist with the first Free Will Baptist Women's Ministry International Shine event. This wonderful event was hosted at the Getsemani Children's Home in Morelos, Mexico, where the Bivens family ministers. The ladies in the state showed out as they collected items for us to take to the event. As we packed everything up, it took seven suitcases to hold it all! The girls who attended the event were thrilled to receive very nice bags full of hygiene items and other random goodies. Thank you for your generosity to this project.

We are gearing up for the Alabama State Meeting, which will be held on April 30-May 3, with the ladies meeting on Friday, May 2. This meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Birmingham. Be watching for more details about this meeting.
